Gingher Sharpening Stone. The sharpening stone should only be used on items which have been ground with a knife edge - using it on other items will cause damage. This sharpening stone can be used to restore sharpness on those items which have been ground with a knife edge. Only the knife edge should be honed and care must be taken to follow the instructions exactly to avoid damage to the cutting edges. The sharpening stone cannot be used to remove damaged places from the cutting edge such as might be caused by dropping the shears or cutting over a pin - it can only be used to eliminate dullness which occurs from ordinary use over a period of time. If properly used it will prevent or delay the necessity of having the edges professionally sharpened. Instructions are packaged with each sharpening stone.
